I am a first year Senior (yes, that's right, I said first year...meaning there will be another one,( at Appalchian State University in Boone, NC. I am an elementary education major with an english concertration and I absolutely love kids. I love photogrpahy, hiking, camping, reading, and taking road trips!
I work at the Watauga Youth Network (WYN) in Boone. It's the greatest place to work. the people I work with care about kids, are fun, crazy, and make work anything but work. WYN works with at-risk youth in many ways, but mainly in afterschool settings and we also have a Big Brother/Sister program. I am a Big Sister to a great little girl named Kayla. She's pretty darn cool.
I also work as a photographer, taking pictures at fraternity and sorority parties at ASU. It's a pretty cool job. I am also working at Bath and Body Works as an "advisor". I never thought I would work in retail again, but I actually really like working there! |

I love music...My fav bands/Artists are: Caedmon's Call, Smashing Pumpkins, Blue Dogs, Garth Brooks, Hootie and the Blowfish, Bebo Norman, Andrew Peterson, Justin McRoberts,Nickel Creek, Brooks N Dunn, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Kenney Chesney, Faith Hill, Dave Matthews Band, Sarah McLaughlin...there are more, just can't think of them right now...
Hey, where are you from?
People always ask me where I am from and I say it's a long story. So, here it is. I grew up in Carthage, NC which is near Pinehurst in Moore County. When I was 12 my mother and I moved to North Myrtle Beach, SC. I went to high school there but still spent a lot of time in Moore county because my Daddy still lives there. When I graduated from high school I went to Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. I consider myself an NC resident (As does ASU thank God) but I still spend a lot of time in SC. So, now you know.
My family is wonderful. With the great concept of divorce its a little crazy but that's about normal these says. My brother has two wonderful kids-Austin and Morgan. Look on the photo pages for their pictures. They rock my world, I miss them so much. I also have a half sister, who is also on the photo page! The other member in my family that I am closest to is my second cousin Celeste (again, see photo page!) She is one my closest friends in the whole world and I don't know what I would do without her!!
